ALG December Playlist

As I write this, my 12 year old next door neighbour is singing yelling Fancy by Iggy Azalea at the top of his voice. It's a treat, but has no real relevance to this post, so, anyway...

I should probably start by warning you that the mix of music I'm listening to this month is less 'eclectic' and more just, weird... it's not all that often that you get Ariana Grande, Norah Jones, London Grammar and Dire Straits in the same playlist, but whatever. Rather than going into detail on each song/artist, just a few things:

- Two Weeks is kind of weird and sexy in equal measures, and FKA twigs is probably the coolest person ever, too. Oh, and she gets to wake up next to Robert Pattinson... dream.

- Break Free is an ANTHEM (I take my use of capitals very seriously) and I will happily pretend not to care what anyone else has to say on the matter. I wasn't going to include it, but I think my playlists each month should be a true reflection of what I've been listening to, guilty pleasures or otherwise, don't you?

- Sultans of Swing reminds me of winter nights snuggled up by the fire when I was little, with the sound of the Straits filling the house. It's one of the most nostalgic and comforting songs I know, and I always find myself listening to it around this time of year.

- Ditto Turn Me On.

- I really wanted to include Hozier's cover of Arctic Monkeys, but went for Cherry Wine as a just-as-good substitute. Have this as a little Christmas bonus, though:

Listen to the playlist below (you can 'follow' it to listen to later, if you like).

What are you playing on repeat this month? Any not-so-guilty pleasures in your playlist?
